Bana on Those Hulk Rumors

So will Eric Bana be back as The Hulk?

His guess is as good as yours it seems – but he’s happy to hear that fans liked his performance in the first film and are hoping he does get to wear the purple shorts again.

Though everyone else seems to be talking up a sequel to “The Hulk”, the Australian actor can truthfully confirm that he has not been contacted about it.

“Honestly, I have no idea. I’ve never had a conversation with anyone about it. Who knows?”

But is he locked into doing a sequel – if they do one within a certain time period.

“In a particular time-frame…yes”.

Bana’s stoked that “Hulk” director Ang Lee is having success with “Brokeback Mountain”, but says he hasn’t had a chance to see it yet, “but I really want to”.

Bana starts work on his new film, “Romulus, My Father”, in March.

“It’s just a really great script. It was very close to home for me”, he says, adding that “Bourne Identity” co-star Franka Potente will play his wife in the film.

More from Bana in the months to come.
